Bricklaying Contractors Appointed
GAB Construction Services Ltd has been appointed as the brickwork contractor for a vital new teaching block at Halesbury Special School, located on Feldon Lane, Halesowen. The project will provide purpose-built, modern classrooms to replace outdated mobile units and better support pupils with complex learning needs.
School Building Contractors
Working alongside Connect Construction Group, GAB’s scope includes delivery of the full substructure and superstructure brickwork package up to wall plate, with the roofing, windows, doors, and internal fit-out being completed by others.
The brickwork phase commenced on Monday 19th May and is scheduled for completion by the end of July 2025, in line with the project timeline.
While the build itself is technically straightforward, the site presents unique sensitivities.
Supporting Local Schools
As the school remains operational throughout the works, GAB is maintaining close communication with school staff to ensure that construction activities – particularly dust and noise – are carefully managed around pupil breaktimes and individual student needs.
